Camping and Fishing 2003
Fishing at Maclean Pond.
True with our tent at Cataract Creek
DeVery preparing supper at Cataract Creek. The creek itself is a few hundred feet behind him.
DeVery cooking steaks on our new propane stove. There was a total fire ban on open fires and flames in all of Kananaskis Country due to wildfires farther south. The back country was also totally closed.
True fetching a stick from Opal Creek. You can see my fly rod and line. I was standing in the creek at about mid-thigh level.
DeVery fishing (without success) at Opal Creek. The picture is a little fuzzy because I got the digital camera wet. (oops!)
Bighorn Sheep at the side of Hiway 40 in Kananaskis Country
I liked how this mountain looked with the curves in the layers of limestone. I made DeVery get out of the Jeep and take a picture of it for me.
This fish wasn't caught during the trip where most of the pictures above were taken. I caught this trout in the Bow River about a week or so after this camping trip but I just had to show if off a bit so you could see that there are indeed trout in Alberta.
