Pictures of Sandy's Home
These aren't the best pictures but I have them readily available. The picture of the sunset is probably the most accurate about the scale of the mountains versus the horizon. The bumps you see in the distance, on the horizon, are the mountains. In different conditions the mountains can look more magnified or closer but this is pretty realistic. Sorry it isn't a bigger picture but I just took it with my little cheap computer camera handheld out the door of the shop where I used to have my computer.
The scale of this picture is wonky because the hills in the background never seem this big or close when you're out in the pasture with the horses. You can see little bits of mountain tucked in-between the hills though.
This is another bad picture as you can't actually see the mountains at all because of haze but again, the scale is realistic as far as where the mountains are in comparison to where I live and where most of Calgary is. Oh, and that's a dried lake bed on the upper left in case you were wondering.
And here's a picture taken while I was fishing of my dog scaring all the fish away in "Opal Creek" in the Kananaskis.
And here's one she didn't scare away. This one was caught in the Bow River though. I didn't catch anything at Opal Creek.
