Here's links to other car DIY build-up sites and kustom cars that I particularly like:

  • Brian Breedlove's 54 Chev with an 80s Vette front clip and IRS

  • Big Jack Daddy's 1953 American Pontiac Chieftan which is undergoing what looks like a 4" chop, stretch and sectionning job. Very beautiful proportions and a straight 8 too! Link dead - too bad, I didn't get a pix of his car.

  • Walt Richard's 53 and 54 Chevs with 5" chops. In one word: NICE!

  • I came across Dave Phelps' 53 Chevy Belair project page after seeing the car up for auction on ebay (it's sold). Dave's website is very informative and unfortunately another project came along that he couldn't pass by. I've contacted Dave and he's agreed to let me host his web info on his 53 Chev buildup.

  • I was at the August 2001 Foothills Street Rod Association's Fun Run in Calgary, Alberta Canada (where I live) and came across Bob Hierlmeier's daily driver 53 Pontiac that he finished in 1999 I believe. Talk about on the same wave length for a Prostreet look. I threw together a little webpage about it.

  • Here's some pictures of 53-54 Chevs/Pontiacs that I found on the web and can't remember where I got them from. Also, here's Dave Phelp's pictures of 53-54 Chevs from different car shows he's been to.

  • Bill McKenna has an excellent website on the restoration of his 59 Cadillac.

  • Bill Lynn has a very good build-up site on his 55 2 door Chev 210 wagon. Bill is like me, not afraid to tackle something but very willing to learn (even the hard way!).

  • Here's Kerry Pinkerton's site on his journey from restoration to kustomization of his 57 Imperial.

  • I came across Rob Hipkin's 1952 Chev Suburban website that is just great cause it shows another point of view on building a streetable vehicle by putting a vintage body on a newer frame. Lots of pictures, details and artistic expression ;-).

  • Per Ornberg from Sweden, contacted me about his 1941 Buick Sedanette project which he has beautifully customized and recorded on his website. He has a very good eye for a proper balanced vintage aggressive look!
