You will find that throughout this website, pretty much all PBX related items like dialplans, trunks, extensions and more are configured through the FreePBX web based interface. FreePBX is the user interface to the mySQL database that writes the configuration files. Very little manual text editing of configuration files is required. Naturally, there are a few exceptions that require manual configuration of text files.
